post 6 - two topics (sofia infante)
The person I admire the most is Marie Curie. She was a polish physicist and chemist married with Pierre Curie that lived her whole life in Paris. She studied clandestinely in the University of Varsovia and started her scientific background in said city. I admire her because she was the first person in receive two Nobel prizes in different specialties (Physics and chemistry), but beyond her achievements I admire her for being one of the first female pioneers in chemistry, that fought for recognition of her discoveries and also for winning her place in a field of knowledge occupied mainly by men since at that time in which she lived women didn't have rights, and much less a woman could study. The contribution of this scientist was the discovery of the radioactivity of some elements in the periodic table and the elements Radium and Polonium, which remain in the periodic table to this day.
